The aim of the parenting talk is to sow the notion of a partnership between the school and the parents concerned to see their children through education successfully. Themes for the SPSP programme are as follows:
Building a Strong Educational Foundation in Your Child through Successful Parent-School Partnership:
- Paint a picture of the foreseeable future that their children would face based on current realities;
- Ask pertinent, even provocative questions on the value parents place upon their very own children
- Review family values within the framework of inculcating endearing values of success through life-long learning
- Identify immediate and long-term consequences of failure to inculcate the values of life-learning in children
- List concrete actions for parents to take in making the partnership with the school a successful endeavour for the tri-partite stakeholders – the child, the parent and the school
Motivating Your Child for Greater Achievements through Successful Parent-School Partnership:
- Paint a picture of their child’s success in life
- Identify the pathway for that successful vision to be realized
- Outline the value system needed to build a solid foundation for that success to be realized

- List concrete actions for parents to take in making the partnership with the school a successful endeavour for the tri-partite stakeholders – the child, the parent and the school
